Are there going to be variations in the build?
No variations whatsoever.
Can the builder charge me extra for variations?
What is included in the turn key price of my house build?
A turn key build means everything is included in the built – the tenant only needs to move their clothes in. The build cost includes:
- All floor coverings including carpets and tiles
- All window treatments
- Stainless steel appliances including stove, range hood, dishwasher and hot plates
- All light fittings through internal and external
- Colourbond electronic garage door
- All fixtures and fittings in bathrooms and Ensuite including towel rails and toilet roll holder
- Built in wardrobes including rails and shelving
- Air-conditioning in main living area and ceiling fans throughout
- TV points and telephone point
- Smoke detectors and circuit breakers
- TV antenna
- All landscaping and turf throughout entire yard
- Fencing of entire yard
- Concrete driveway
What if I can’t find a tenant?
You have a 2 year rental guarantee. In that time it is Massland’s responsibility to find you a tenant.
What happens when the builder goes bankrupt?
It is highly unlikely this will occur, but to cover all eventualities the BSA (Building Services Authority) has a fund whereby you and Massland both pay 1.5% into a BSA Fund. Should the builder go bankrupt the house will still be completed using the money in the fund. Our nominated builder completes approximately 700 houses per year and has a very solid track record.
Do I get a say in what the house looks like?
No. It is a Fixed price, Fixed package turn key house. The colours of tiles, carpets, benches, walls etc. will be approved by an interior designer and packaged together to ensure continuity and harmony.
Will my house look the same as others?
No. The streetscape is approved by Massland to ensure there is variety. There are no two designs the same in any one street, as we feel it important that the estate has an established feel to it. Our builder has over 300 different floor plans and a multitude of different facades to each floor plan. Each are pre-approved by Massland to assure nothing is duplicated.
What will the exterior of the houses look like?
There will be a mixture of colorbond and tiled roofs, brick and rendered walls along with some feature panels and horizontal boarding.
Do the appliances include a range hood?
Yes. All appliances are stainless steel and these include a oven, cooktop, dishwasher and range hood.
