Our Mission to Help Victims of Human Trafficking Hits $143,080
At Massland, it’s not just about our gain…we’re committed to having an impact for the collective good. We’ve supported Project Futures over many years in their quest to stop global human trafficking and just recently contributed to the construction of a rehabilitation centre in Siem Riep. The Project Futures vision is to break the cycle of exploitation and help women and girls recover from these unthinkable crimes in Cambodia and Australia.
In March I set up a campaign to raise money for these victims in partnership with Project Futures. Before the tragic Earthquake hit Nepal, I was planning to trek Mt Everest and at the same time, raise more funds for Project Futures.
While I’ve had to postpone the climb until next year, the mission to help victims of human trafficking continues. With Nepal delayed, I jumped on a plane to Cambodia to see first-hand the rehabilitation centre we built in action and was impressed with the impact it has made to help victims recover and rebuild. Sadly though, I have to say the situation in Cambodia is horrendous, worse than I had ever realised and this trip has made me even more determined to help.
The ‘Stop the Slavery’ campaign has already received over $71,000 in donations from so many generous supporters and I’m blown away by your determination to help. My promise from the start of this campaign was to personally match donations dollar for dollar…putting my hand in my pocket to double the impact! We’ve smashed our original target and with my doubling donation, already have over $143,000 to contribute. At this rate, I’m betting $150,000 and beyond is completely doable…the sky’s the limit.
It’s a fantastic cause and if you’re in a position to help, I’d be really grateful. CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR DONATION PAGE.
There you have it; together we can make a difference to the lives of victims of human trafficking and stop these heart breaking crimes.
Donate and save a life.
Yours in compassion and success…
